GUARANTEED ASSET PROTECTION (GAP)
GAP Program**
If your Harley-Davidson® motorcycle is stolen and never recovered, you’ll have to pay any “gap” between your insurance company's coverage and the loan balance. Don’t assume that your primary insurance will give you fair market value for your motorcycle. The actual cash value an insurance company usually places on your bike may be a lot less than the outstanding balance on your loan.
Who pays the difference? You do...OR...The GAP Plan pays the difference between fair market value and outstanding loan balance on the date of loss up to $25,000.* AND, your insurance deductible might be covered up to $1,000.
DEBT PROTECTION PLAN
Debt Protection Plan**
Harley-Davidson Financial Services can cover you if you suddenly find yourself out of work. The Debt Protection Plan covers your motorcycle loan payments if you are involuntarily unemployed due to illness or accident – on or off the job. It might even cancel your loan if your accident becomes fatal, thereby easing your loved ones' burden.
The fee for this valuable protection is based on your loan amount. It can be added to your loan agreement. You can only obtain the plan at the time of purchase, but you can terminate it at any time.
